I've had an awesome 24 hours :)
Lots of love from MOPY! It was really great seeing all of them together again.. Esp Momo. It's been too long and he's lost so much weight since boxing day! It was a good evening at Relish with 9 other dear friends and made all the more sweet by little acts of love - asking about my fingers, presenting me with the birthday card, giving me a self-made present :):) always enjoy being with them. Next up: A cookout! wheee :)
Spent the awesomest day with Daryl today. We spent hours at Kinokuniya together, going around different sections looking at the different kinds of books, having so much fun looking at pictures and texts and deciding how to spend his vouchers.. :) jokes and stories and lame moments coloured the little tour around the bookstore and before we knew it so much time had passed us by that we had to rush to Cathay for the 3.05pm movie.. IP MAN 2 :D it was really really great and totally filled me with Chinese pride which I'd never been felt before HAHA. Loved your company and being able to hide my face in your arm whenever the good guy takes a headblow. MOS burger was so awesome too.. milkshake and fries have never been so sweet. I'm so happy with you. Even the sadness we share at times is so beautiful and filled with love. I can't fully express it, I'm just so thankful.
I'll be finishing the Happy Prince tonight. Wonder if I'll accidentally-on-purpose oversleep and not turn up for the cycling outing tomorrow. Thank you dear :')

I'm a happy 21-year-old :)
I'm an adult by conventional standards now! It was interesting considering just when I'd grown up.. As a kid I saw things as discrete and mixed things up (inventor-scientist, narrator-author, adult-nonkid) but life showed me otherwise. I'm sure that my perceptions of middle- and old-age will be corrected as I gradually move into those phases.
Birthday weekend was awesome :) Spent saturday morning watching Lie to me and The Mentalist with mer, then went out in the afternoon with the whole family to catch IronMan2.. Though the movie wasn't the awesomest, the company was :D it's been so so many years since we've spent a weekend out together like this, save for holidays when we're compelled by circumstances (not a bad thing, of course) to be in each other's company. 2nd May was kicked off with mass (Jesus!), during which we bumped into crystal (:D:D!), subsequently made exciting by playing texas holdem with mer, daddy and mark, and finally closed with a very meat-y dinner with my favourite people - family, daryl, and mark (one of my favourite person's favourite people who was so sweet and shy hahaha) :D feeling so loved and blessed. Caught up with quite a few friends from whom I haven't heard for a while, too. :) So glad that the special day was spent in such cosy and warm settings as opposed to a large, rowdy one :D
GUITAR. the quest to master the beautiful new instrument (thank you love, jelly, eugene, stef, fifi, jo, serene, momo, APY, nic, jerome, and nat!!! :D) began immediately on returning home from dinner... So very excited about it!! My fingertips are terriiiblyy sore from holding down the strings and my left hand seems to be playing twister with itself whenever I try to play something but I just can't put it down, not even to watch football :D the amazement which comes with learning every new chord and making it sound right is absolutely captivating :D:D:D I love how it's similar and yet different from the piano, and I love how it opens up so many new possibilities.. I love hearing little bits of my favourite guitar songs coming from my own instrument, and drawing the links with things that I learnt in Science of Music.. oh gosh I love music :D:D
Off now, bye :D
