it's actually quite difficult to be a good person, even if you're not faced with some terribly big ethical dilemma.

because we know the truth and because we're expected to be loving, we've so much to live up to. we cannot feign ignorance or decide to discount all that we're taught. even in small areas of my life, i find that it so effortful to go against the natural sinful tendencies and pride. it's tiring to keep thinking about what the best thing to do is, even though i know that taking all this into consideration really is the way to go. it seems like being of totally pure and selfless intention is never really possible. i'm very conscious of my falling away.

mid-sem break's just round the corner! happy to have started talking to SBF a lot more again. :D
