We live in a house of mirrors and think we're looking out.

nice. there has been a recurring theme of "self-awareness" in my life of late. it's been appearing in all my social work modules for the very fact that it is crucial for any social worker to learn how to be effective. in addition, it's also been a pretty common conversation topic and, above all, such self-awareness is completely relevant in my everyday living.

the headaches and overwhelming emotions are reminiscent of my JC days, when i could hardly cope with the tremedous stress and expectations. and i know that this stress puts me in a highly vulnerable situation, making me susceptible to negativity of all sorts. but there is a plus side to me being in my current state. i've recognised that the couple of years that have passed by have brought about an increased ability to reach into the mesh of emotions and single out the reasons why i'm feeling a particular way, and in bringing these reasons to consciousness, i manage to determine whether or not they are irrational or not. more often than not, they are. and tadah! i solve some of my non-existent problems just like that.

i'm really looking forward to the one week hiatus.

...countdown to wkend: 2 days
